Thank You from The Elliot Must Go Team!

After several months of investigation, the CPS have brought charges against Elliot Morley, almost a year after his expenses came under investigation in May 2009.

Mr Morley has denied any wrong doing on his behalf and has promised to vigorously defend himself over the matter.

As the CPS has now committed to a prosecution we feel that the objectives of our campaign have (in part) been met, and regardless, feel it would be inappropriate at this point to either comment further or to continue with the campaign while the criminal prosecution is ongoing. This website will be updated for one final time when the outcome of the case is known. Our primary motivation behind starting this campaign was to promote democracy, justice and transparency within politics. We hope that now the CPS have taken over, due process will be followed and the public's faith will one day be restored in the politicians and our political system.

We do however invite our many friends and supporters who we have met along the way to join us on our new community media project Visit Scunthorpe. This is a totally independent news and media portal built and run by the local community in Scunthorpe for the reporting and discussion of local news and events with a bit of good humour thrown in. The site is very much in its infancy now, but as people use it and add content, we will develop more tools and features over time.
